You know what I wish for? Well, yeah but besides to be healed from MS. Well, I guess I can make a laundry list of many things I wish for.
However, that would take all day. I'm thinking of one particular thing. I was thinking of when I 1st became a born again Christian. Yep, I am thinking that far back. So, when I was 15. I am 40 now.
Fellow, brothers and sisters in Jesus? Do you guys remember those glorious days? The days when you were on fire for Jesus. Remember fell born again Christian believes when we just wanted to tell everyone we knew about Jesus! Because we wanted our friends and loved ones to go to Heaven after they die. And, be with us forever too!
As time went by in my walk with God... As I began to grow spiritually.... Mature more in my Bible readings....
I found out something. And, that is this. If we want our loved ones to go to heaven with us? It was so simple.
All, we had to do was make sure we had a picture of them and point the picture up to the sky and command the picture to go to heaven when the person dies! So simple right!
Oh and before I forget make sure that the picture of your loved one is colored. Yes, that is very important. Some people still did it with black-and-white pictures. I guess we wouldn't know the result until we get to heaven. Maybe that works!
I applaud myself for sharing that load of baloney. Without busting out laughing too. I was just seeing if you guys were paying attention to that because that was not genuine. None of it is true. Don't believe it. I don't really know much of the voudou stuff. Anyway, the point is it was not genuine!
What is very true is this. I really do not have a choice. I mean it is not my decision. I mean when it comes to other people going to heaven. I can hope and pray that my loved ones would go to heaven and they would accept Jesus Christ till I am blue in the face. However, ultimately they have the final decision!
What comes to mind is my Auntie Emily. Before she became a born again Christian her thoughts of her loved ones going to heaven differed from her thoughts now. I remember her saying, "People need to worry about themselves and if they are going to heaven!" SO true Auntie!
What also comes to mind is when the parents force their children to go to church. As if the parents will be able to make sure their children go to heaven. Seriously, some parents may try to sugar coat going to church
services by including other leisurely activities to go along with the church day. Please don't misunderstand. Of course it is cool to do other fun activities on church days. I was just thinking this. Would those friends and family members still want to hang out if it was just going to church?
Parents may even give money to get their children to go to church. Now, thats-too crazy!
To reiterate, we can pray for others to go to heaven. And, that's all we can do. The people we are praying for have to decide for themselves if they want to choose to follow Jesus.
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
