Thoughts like that. I know that I used to think similar to that. During my early years of being a Christian. As I began to mature in my Christian faith, I found out things. No doubt the Holy Spirit was tugging at my heart.
1st of all, we have no idea what the future will be for other people. Did the person just right before they took their last breath, suddenly remember when they spoke to a Christ believer many years ago. That person told this person all about Christ. However, at the time when asked if they wanted to receive Christ? They refused. Now, that there about to die? Perhaps, this person had a change of heart?
So, fellow believers remember not to judge. I am pretty sure we're gonna be really surprised when we see the believers in Heaven.
Now, as the title of the reading says, it is not my job. Making you turn your life over to Jesus Christ is not my job. I can't make you do anything. Only YOU can make that decision to follow Jesus!
What is my job is this. Tell people about Jesus. What he did for us. Share with people How Jesus Touched my life. What was it about him that made me want to be a follower of Cahrist?
Folks, I don't have the power to convert And change people's beliefs. And, neither do you. Actually, God does. Anything is possible with God right? Doesn't it make you wonder why Doesn't God just do that? I mean like why doesn't He just rearrange some wires in your brain, so to speak? And just make you believe in him?
I know right? Did that just you feel like oh yeah huh? The answer is God doesn't want to do that. Remember God gave us free will. God loves us so much! He gave us the ability to make the decision for ourselves if we want to follow him.
And, I get it. Yeah I get it. It is actually pretty nice when you know that person believes in you. Believes something about what you do for them. Not just about making them believe in you but having them choose for themselves to feel the real way they do. So, Jesus just wants to see that people choose to believe and have faith in him!
—Romans 10:14
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And, how shall they hear without a preacher?”
