As A Team

Play For The Audio Version

I loved hearing this story because it was so encouraging. And, the fact that it came from celebrities? Even more awesome! We don't usually hear these kinds of stories from them. Usually, we hear more like scandals. People are usually entertained by some type of negative news.

Some years ago, Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Carson Wendtz had to leave his role as starting quarterback for awhile to heal from being severely injured. Nick Foles, the backup quarterback took on his role during his absence. Their close relationship mainly stems from their common bond in both being in a personal relationship with Christ.

When Carson Wentz recovered from his injury, he came back to his role as starting quarterback. During his absence, backup quarterback Nick Foles took over and did an awesome job!

The 2 men's Unique relationship caught the eye of this one reporter. Even though the 2 men were both competitors for being a successful quarterback? Instead of focusing on the competition part? The 2 men showed to the public what being a true Christian was really about.

They really put aside their focus on being competitors. They really showed more of their focus on working together as a team. Woo-hoo Go Carson and Nick!

As we serve on the same team, we can heed Paul’s command: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” Xochitl Dixon
