Any Room?

Play For The Audio Version

I think that a reason why some people choose not to accept Jesus in their lives is because of this. There's just no room as Jesus in their lives! What do I mean by that?

Well, exactly what I said. Some people just don't have room in their lives for Jesus! I think it is more like they don't want to make room for Jesus.

Well, it is challenging to elaborate more because everyone is different! All people have different priorities! The question is where does God fall? HE should always be #1. However, some people don't always see it that way.

What comes to mind is James 2:7 which says: And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Oh wow, even when Jesus was first born to many years after his death? It seemed to always have been the case of "no room." Wow, that was an eye opening thought.

It's not that all people are evil! It's more that they are just busy and they have no room for Jesus. The reality is we can fix that. If they wanted to.

Let me end with words from pastor Greg Laurie. " The basic problem with the innkeeper was that he didn’t have time. There are a lot of people like him today. They don’t have time for God. They don’t have time for church.
But you’ll always find time for what’s important in your life. If you want to do something, you’ll do it. And if you don’t want to do something, you’ll make up excuses."

Now, the million dollar question is... Drum roll please. What about you guys? Is there room for Jesus in your life?

I am imagining some people thinking something like this. Well, yeah if I just move spending time with Jesus here or worshiping Jesus there then? You are thinking that may work.

No! Why are you moving Jesus around? Isn't he your top priority? Shouldn't you be thinking well if I move the certain things here than then I can spend more time with Jesus? Or if I Just watch this one movie later and spend time with Jesus 1st.

The operative word is 1st! Jesus should Always be 1st! So the thing is it about moving Jesus around So you can do this or that. It's not about moving things around So you can accommodate Jesus in your life. It's imba moving things around to accommodate for Jesus!
