Ready?

Play For The Audio Version

Are you excited? I mean excited to die? Wait that doesn't sound right. Let me explain. No. I don't mean you're so excited you should take your own life. What I mean is are you looking forward to the rapture or taking your last breath.

I think it's great if you are looking forward to it. That probably means you are a born again Christian believer looking forward to being with Jesus! Friend, that means you are ready!

What comes to mind is one of my grandmas. My Aunt's mom, I called her Lola (grandmother). She was around when I was growing up.

This woman knew Jesus! She was always voicing praises to Him. Illustrating in her actions all her praise too. Hands up and everything! Her eyes lit up just saying His name!

Now, please don't misunderstand. I am not at all promoting suicide. No, I am not speeding up the process of when we are leaving the Earth. If I was doing that, then that would mean I would be messing with God's plan in what he wants to come out of our life. And, for how long we are even supposed to live on this earth.

No, thank you! I am not going to take any part of that. Not bothering or interfering with God's will for our lives. That is all His baby! So to speak.

Really what I am doing is this. I am just trying to scare you. What? Sam! Sorry just seeing if you are paying attention. Of course, I wouldn't do that. I'm just kidding.

What I am trying to do though is this. There's nothing wrong if you are thinking about your last day on Earth. There is something wrong with you actually doing something to make it your last day! Personally, I think if you have thoughts like that? That is from the evil one!
And, the only way to make him leave is to Tell the evil one to get away from you in Jesus' name!

It is pretty sad hearing or seeing people who are scared of death. I remember my loved one dying of cancer. She did not want to get off life support because she was afraid to die.

That is definitely not how it's supposed to be. People should not be afraid to die. However, i really can't control people's thoughts.  Everyone is different.

Immediately, what came to my mind was the character Job. He was definitely going through things that made him want to die! Yup, he should have. But, the thing was he didn't do anything to force himself to die. He actually just gave praise to God even more! We people should not be afraid of death.

Friends, Do you not notice that it's possible to not be afraid of death? Remember I was speaking about my Lola? She was on fire for Jesus Christ! She died of cancer. She was ready to die. She was always so happy because she was ready to be with Jesus.

Let me end with a few questions for you guys. Knowing Jesus can come back at any time. Does that scare you? Are you assured Of your salvation? What I mean is are you sure you will go to heaven when you die?

My Lola was a woman of God leaving behind The most memorable and awesome Legacy. My Lola died laying in her coffin with a smile on her face! Wow! I wanna die like that too! Laying in My a big smile on my face!

Ecclesiastes 12:7

And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

John 11:25

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Luke 23:43

And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise-

Job 1:20-22

Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong...

  1. Ah Sam, too cool. Folks, 2 Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Read His word and His peace will touch you in all areas of your life.
