I am sure we people can think of many different scenarios where what I'm saying is most relevant.
What comes to mind is the Bible story of the fight between David and Goliath. David was like the size of a grape or pea. Goliath is like the size of a watermelon. Since we are talking about food comparisons.
Basically David wanted to fight Goliath. He was terrorizing the Israelites. Now, keep in mind what I said. David was like a little shepherd boy. Goliath was like a big giant.
David, little boy volunteered to fight Goliath.Goliath hated Goliath!
King Saul really thought that David was ludicrous. Absolutely stupid for wanting to fight this giant.
David was a young boy. Probably never had a fight in his life. Goliath on the other hand was a mammoth warrior. This man has been training since birth!
David didn't care. When he stepped
onto the
battlefield David hit Goliath with a rock with a Slingshot. That knocked Goliath out and he fell down. The story does not end there. While he was laying on the floor, David
went over by him with a knife and chopped his head off!
David wanted to show the Israelites that Goliath was human. Goliath was beatable. O yeah David knows. God was with David. He
helped David beat Goliath!
God will be with you to if you are with Him. James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. We can't hang out with Goliath and think we can beat him someday, he will learn our weaknesses. Seek God and learn His strengths. 2 Cor. 12:9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
ReplyDeleteI know that's right! There definitely is a little Goliath in each Of us. Maybe I should say giant Goliath. Lol
