Fellow brother/ sister born again Christian believer? Do you know God wants to use us? To reiterate, Pastor Greg Laurie once said that "God is not looking for ability. He is looking for availability."
I do believe that when God thinks you are ready? Like he did with me? He probably will put that in your mind.
When God thinks you are ready. What do I mean by that? Well, that sentence will require a lot out of a person. We need to be prepared!
Let me share a life story! with you.
Well, 1st of all let me mention that I used to be a late sleeper. Then I would usually wake up late. And, I don't think I ever took naps.
Then, probably 5 or 10 years after married? I forgot exacty. I can't remember when this started. But,
I would wake up 3 and get ready. I know right.
Now, why would I do such a thing? Oh, I totally blame it on God! Not saying it like I am mad about this. I mean it is kind of my fault.
I do remember one time I did say in a prayer, that God would be able to use me.
I didn't care what it was. I didn't care if it was out of my comfort zone. I knew he was gonna help me.
So, for like 10 plus years I would wake up at 3 and spend my quiet time with God. Nope, I didn't even have an alarm clock that woke me up. My heart acted like my alarm clock.
Then, since I was no longer in the work force? I began what I call my " Starbucks ministry. Basically, God would give me that time and place to do my thing. Advertising my Deep thoughts from Samantha blog.
Within time I eventually had business cards. Those helped a lot!
That lasted probably more than 10 years.
If not for the pandemic? I would probably still be going there every now and then.
However, I guess God had other plans. What is the moral of this writing?
Basically, if you ask God to use you whatever way he wants to use you?
Friends, do you want His name to be introduced and glorified? Take it from me. I would say 9 times out of 10? What ever it is he will want us to do? It will probably be out of our comfort zone. However, also take it from me and my husband. Yes, there are sometimes there may be some rough patches.
But, take heart and be encouraged. Because, if God has a plan that he wants you to do for him? Then, he will provide and smooth out those rough patches.
So, how is Sam now? If you are curious about my sleeping habits? I no longer wake up at 3. I know that is crazy! Right? Nope, it's actually much earlier now. Yet, right now I look and have enough energy as if I got a full night's sleep!
Yeah, I guess occasionally I will take naps. However, I wouldn't say they were planned naps. Or, in comfortable looking positions to other people.
Actually I sometimes could fall asleep sitting up or just crouched down. Usually I would fall asleep for like 10 minutes. That's really all I need to reenergize. There may be times I could pass out for a couple of hours. But, that doesn't happen often. Only if I am really tired! You can ask Glady or Joe. They always see me spontaneously fall asleep in weird positions.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

I can do all things through him who gives me strength

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all yourways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path.
