I am an impatient person! I hate that really! I guess other people may be more impatient than me at times, or not. However, I should really work on my patience. Sometimes when I ask for something if I don't get it within minutes the mini impatient beast in me will erupt with a very loud, somewhat high pitched voice continuously repeating my need as if it wasn't heard the first time. That always ends up bad, annoying the person and ticking the person off. Perhaps, I will not end up getting my need. That would just make me really mad and sad. Who wants that right?
Can you relate? Maybe you can't? I don't know. If you are the total opposite and have been blessed with patience, good for you! But, if you are nodding your head in agreement right now, because the above scenario and characteristics would totally describe you? Then, I am not alone. And, now you see that you aren't alone as well. Good for us!
I know you all may now be thinking " we can't help it " Well, I guess my thought on that is that you are right when you say that. You and I both know there are a lot of things in life we can't help. And I guess that is where praying and fervently asking God to help you be an overcomer of challenges comes in? It may work or it my not. Your patience level may increase to you being one of the most patient people to ever grace this planet. Or, it may plummet to having the worst patience than you had before. That would be a bad thing huh?
Ok, I am going to repeat and revert back to the solution I initially stated. That friend, is prayer. Ask God to help you be more patient. Ask God to help you be more tolerant of the word "late." Like I said, you may see a miraculous type change in your behavior or you might not. It does not hurt to try asking right? If God wants us to be patient then won't He give us the power to do it if we just ask Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Colossians 3:12 NIV) You, God, are awesome in you sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God! (Psalm
68:35 NIV)
