Only You Know....

I'm sure there have been some times in your life where you have heard something to the effect of, "You two spend so much time together sooner or later you are going to develop the same mannerisms and be able to finish one another's sentences." For the true believers in Jesus, we want closeness with our Heavenly Father right? Isn't  that what we strive for? That's why we have to spend much time with Jesus, so we can be more like Him. We spend time with him by reading, studying the word and prayer and meditation.

My husband has known me for quite a long time now.  So, I would definitely say that he knows all my deep light and dark secrets and then some. I also would say it is the same the other around as well. We feel so comfortable with each other now to be able to tell each other things and do things we wouldn't feel comfortable doing or saying in public We both are cool with each other doing things we most likely would not have done because it was embarrassing to do on our first few meetings. For example, if I feel the need to burp sometimes I forget to give a warning and just burp.

I think that is how close The Lord wants to be with us.  He wants us to feel so comfortable in his presence that we can easily talk to Him. He wants us to trust in him, when we don't understand things.  Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5-6‬ NLT). He wants us to give him our cares and burdens because He cares for us and He wants us to believe He will give us rest. Don't ever think you are burdening him.  Because, to reiterate he wants your burdens!  If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light. (‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28-30‬ CEVUK00)

Unless The Lord decides to grace us with his presence in the near future, I would say we the believers will still be going through the conveyor belt I spoke about in a past thought. I think the thing we need to really take to heart is that The Lord wants to have a relationship with us. And unlike the sometimes  rocky and temporary relationships people have with their significant others, once you have a personal relationship with God, nothing can ever break the promise or covenant that was made with the two of you.  Nothing!
