Thankful

Do you feel thankful? Sometimes, I forget to say it or show it in my face. Maybe, my actions or words that come out of my mouth really show other people the total opposite of me being thankful? I know that sometimes I can act totally ungrateful and unthankful. I hope people don't think I am a really bad ungrateful ***** or anything bad .  I have been labeled something to that effect before though. Yup. Different story....

But, friends my heart is truly thankful. I think that's all that matters.  Are you truly thankful? Now, it's time to elaborate more on the good stuff and truly being thankful.  In this writing I want to focus on one thing I am really thankful for.  I am thankful for my Lord Jesus Christ dying for my sins! I am thankful that He forgave me and promises me eternity in Heaven after I die. Friends, I used to be a lost and dead soul covered with a disguise of decorated skin over bones,  Until, my mindset shifted to accepting Jesus as my personal Lord and savior and being extremely thankful for all the perks and promises that result from my decision. Thank you Jesus for dying for me when you didn't have to, but you did just because you love me! Thank you Jesus for your forgiveness of my sins, when we both know I don't deserve it.  Thank you Jesus for your gift of eternity in Heaven.  You saved me from eternal punishment

Dear Lord, thank you for this day!
Thank you for finding me, a girl who'd gone astray
You've given me direction, to a better life
You took away my darkness and gave me new life!
For in you I find happiness.
In you I have forgiveness.
