We Need Church Series Part 3: Fellowship

Before I became a born again Christian believer in Christ, did I know the definition of fellowship? I don't think I have ever  heard the word. So, the answer to that question is not really. Which probably isn't a good thing. Because, I think that is why God created the human race right? I mean remember his command is to love one another.  Well, when we have fellowship with people, I hope the end result of communicating with other people is not ending up in a brawl based on anger or separation from others who just are unbearable to be around.

When we are members of a church we feel like The Lord is leading us to, it should be like our home.  Other members know your name, hurts, pain, and happiness. I hope you see these people like your family and vice versa. Our brothers and sisters in Christ should be there ready to pray for you and encourage and listen to you. There was a time my sister in Christ contacted me because she said The Lord put me in her heart and I ended up pouring out what was bothering me to her and she listened and prayed for me. See, God loves us so much that he hears us when we are hurting and leads people our way to pray for us and be there for us. Such a beautiful thing. :)

*1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

*Hebrews 10:25 ESV

Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

*Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 ESV

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

* Hebrews 10:24 ESV

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

* Proverbs 27:17 ESV

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
