Too Many Words

When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬ ESV)

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. (‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭34‬ ESV)

I don't know about you guys, but I am pretty sure I struggle with this sometimes. And, I find out the hard way what harsh circumstances can be born if I don't follow that verse word for word.  It is so true folks because if we keep talking and talking we are bound to say something we didn't mean to say and the other party or if more than one may just get pretty bitter and angry.  An explosion of rage and extreme madness is bound to happen!

But, did you know there is a way to stay clear from it? I guess I want to remind you that God says there is a way to avoid that. Yup, I, myself really need to remember this verse as well! Because, think about it even if the initial argument is settled in both parties' minds, if one just keeps on talking and volunteering more information then isn't someone bound to say the wrong thing that very well may give the people the " OK " to get into another argument that really wasn't even necessary and could have been avoided.

I hope you guys get where I am going with this.  I'm praying that I get what I am trying to point out. It is so important when I think about it. Do you know how many arguments and screaming matches filled with vulgar words and rage could've been avoided?  I guess God really knew what He was talking about when he commanded us to show love to one another. The more we know right?!
