The Original

Before I start my writing this Friday let me say hello to Arelli, a Starbucks worker that has been here for a while but I only see her when I order Joe's coffee. I also want to say hi to Sandra who was in line by my table. I offered her a card. Shout out also goes to Danielle who got me a straw because I needed one for my tea. And also shout out to Mia. She was in line by my table as well. And pray that my writings will be encouraging for you ladies! I guess it's time to write!

Do you guys believe in heaven? A better question is do you believe that there even is a heaven, that you may or may not be going to? If you believe that there is a heaven do you have any idea what it will be like there?

God says numerous times in his Word there is a heaven. If you put YOUR trust and believe in Jesus Christ and and that he died for you, forgives you of your sins and he truly loves you even if you are a sinner, you my friend will be going to heaven! :)

People's illustration of heaven sounds glorious and AWESOME right? But, if you are one that has not yet died and then seen with our own eyes what heaven is like, then you don't know.  We can paint a beautiful picture, ponder good thoughts and guess our own hearts' desire, but we don't know for sure.

Wanna know my thoughts of what heaven is like?  As I said earlier, the sitting in clouds to playing of harps all sound wonderful. They may be there. I think, no, I know that God knows our hearts. Let me take myself for example or any other disabled person that has put their trust in Christ. When we get to heaven, I won't be disabled anymore. That means, for me, I'm going to be able to walk normally like I used to. In heaven, I think we'll be reunited with our loved ones who also put their trust in Christ.

I'm thinking the question on everyone's mind is, "Will we be with our spouses, boyfriend, or girlfriend?" Well, I really did not know the answer to that so I asked my husband. And he said that we will know and see each other because we are both Christians. However, will not be married in heaven.

See, God says and gives hints of what heaven will be like in his word! I suggest doing a little digging in the Word of God for answers you may be looking for.   God says it. We should all believe it. That should settle it!

Pastor Greg Laurie says it best. Earth is a copy. Heaven is the original.

Casting Crowns: Glorious Day

Revelation 21:4 ESV

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

John 14:2 ESV

In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

John 3:16 ESV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
