Let me ask you a question. Can you honestly say that you are hating on someone right now? The feeling of hatred does not feel too good does it? Imagine if somebody hates you? I don't know about you but I don't like it when somebody is hating on me, personally. Maybe you're just thinking you don't care if someone hates you. Really? Are you being honest with yourself about that? I still say it just feels uncomfortable when someone hates me. So, I hope nobody out there hates me.
Did you know that God can hate? To be honest, I didn't think that could be possible. Isn't God a god of love? Well, yes he is. And, he can also hate. I never really thought about God being a hater. But according the words in the Bible in the book of 1 Samuel 15, God can actually be a hater on someone or maybe more than someone
God hated the people from Amalek, AKA the Amalekites. Why would God hate them? The answer is because they're evil. I won't go into specifics right now, but you can read the book of 1 Samuel for more elaboration.
Basically, what I got from his words in the Bible is yeah if you or me disobey God when he tells you to do something, or not do something God hates that. Please don't misunderstand. Because of Jesus, you will be forgiven for the wrong you do. I mean if you choose to follow and invite Jesus to come live in your heart. If you ask for forgiveness, he will forgive you. I'm just saying that God can hate. So, maybe we should try not to make Him mad.
