Now, is my title making a little bit more sense? Have you guys ever really even thought about it? I mean for those who even are believers that is. I don't know maybe we don't really mean to hide our faith, but think about it when we push the name of God aside isn't that exactly what we are doing?
Are we ashamed of what we believe? Maybe we are leaning towards and being more focused on fitting in with the crowd? In the crowd does not like Jesus. It really could be for any reason. I'm just here to tell you that if you are truly a believer in Christ, please don't feel the need to ever hide your faith.
You know what is really making you do that? The man downstairs. The evil one. The number one enemy of God. He is the one doing that. He is the one planting evil whispers in your mind that are telling you to not share the love of God with others. He is targeting feelings of being timid so you don't feel like talking about God. He may be filling your mind with other thoughts that will over preoccupy your mind. Then, you forget about the name of Jesus. You may forget and just not want to talk about the name of God. He might be whispering in your mind that the world is what you should be targeting to please and not God.
My friends, if those are the feelings you will just suddenly be thinking, you need to rebuke those thoughts immediately in Jesus' name! My point is not to hide. God wants all of us to spread his name to all the people of the Earth!
Friends, we need to shout the name of the Lord not only on Sunday morning! We need to reach those who are lost and tell them about Jesus! We need to show those who don't know Jesus what exactly Jesus can do for them. We need to shine for Jesus not hide!
Encouraging thought of the day
People of the Lord, wake up and start shining for Jesus and not hiding the glory of Jesus!
