Satan is the Real Enemy

You guys are probably thinking I know that Sam. Well, if you do then good for you! The other day I asked my husband, because I was going through some negative stuff. I asked him,"why does Satan bother us so much?" Joe said because he's a jerk. 

I totally agree with what he is saying. And, I closed my eyes and I thought about that question and let me tell you what I came up with. Satan likes to bother us so much because he knows our vulnerabilities and he attacks them and puts things in front of our faces that leave us so vulnerable to fall into sin. He knows what he needs to do and how to get us down to fall into a sin.

Do you know what I mean? Let me share a side note. Okay, let's say you are a driver that really struggles with road rage. Don't be too surprised if there is a time you are on the road and all you are coming across are crazy drivers or the traffic may even be so bad that all the drivers on the road are driving crazy. Now, do you understand what I mean?

Folks, Satan is not going to literally make you sin against God. No, because how could he do that? What he will do is go right to attacking what makes you vulnerable to sin.  Like the individual struggling with road rage and the opportunity to be in a situation with horrible drivers and bad traffic. Or another example is maybe you are a recovering alcoholic.  Your buddy invites you to go to the bars and are influencing you to take a drink. Or maybe you are struggling with pornography. And, your buddy or buddies all of the sudden want to invite you to a strip club.

Do you see what I'm saying? Basically, Satan is not going to be the one to make you sin. However, he will do a pretty good job with enticing us to sin. And, unfortunately the bad news is sometimes we fall into sin.

The good news, and yes there is good news, remember my writings are for encouragement!? The good news is if you ask Jesus to be your personal Lord and savior and ask him for forgiveness he will forgive you and me! Immediately! See, Jesus has already beaten Satan. Satan knows he has his final day coming in the future. What he is trying to do is collect all the fallen angels that he can so he can bring them with him to the final death of no more existence.

That really sounds pretty sucky.  However, if you know Jesus and if you have Jesus in your life, be encouraged because you will experience an eternity of paradise!
