7eventh Time Down - God Is On The Move
In other news, and an encouraging happening. Saturday, Joe and I had an appointment with our teeth cleaning lady and our dentist. I am really blessed because I've been seeing them since I was 8 years old, and actually my current dentist's dad before the son became a dentist. Now, he is also my dentist! And, you know how people are not too thrilled about going to their dentist? Well, that does not go for me and a Joe. We look forward to seeing them. And, I hope they look forward to seeing us. I just hate when my dentist tells me I have cavities. :-(
So, I felt the knock to my head (remember, the Holy Spirit) telling my heart to bring my business cards to my dentist appointment. So, during my appointment, I offered cards to Debbie and Dr. Gambla. Oops, I mean Brian. He told me the other day that he's known me for so long to just call him Brian! Anyway, I gave them my cards and I pray that they will be encouraged from reading my writings. Debbie so encouraged me by saying that we need more people like me in this world LOL. See, what happens when you live your life when they see Jesus in you?!
Time for my writing! I titled this writing "Sometimes I just don't understand." I think a lot of people can relate to that. There's no denying that God is a puzzle that we may not even put together until we come face-to-face with Jesus. Here's a thought. It could be that God doesn't want to help us immediately, because God is trying to strengthen us.
I know, does that make any sense to you guys? Let me share my thoughts. Okay, first of all, I'm thinking, if God will help us immediately, we might miss the opportunity to even talk to God. You know what I mean? I will take myself for an example. Say, my internal muscles are not working right and are bothering me. Of course, I will ask God for help. He has his own time of wanting to help me. That's okay. Right? I will say "Right!" with a very hard heart. :-(
Sometimes God does not choose to answer our prayers immediately. However, I truly do think he does that because he wants to strengthen our faith. I guess now I kind of understand. But that doesn't mean it's not difficult and that I like it. :-( Please think about it. If we get what we want immediately will we continue to keep praying and trusting in God? We may not feel like it. But we have to remember, that God is on the move, Hallelujah!
Encouraging Deep Thought For The Day
Are you cool and, comfortable with hugging your, medical professionals? Live your life so people can see Jesus in you and find yourselves a doctor that you have a good relationship with, and that you're not afraid to hug.
Hi Debbie and Brian! Remember to start your day with encouragement before you clean people's teeth and fix people's teeth!
Job was overwhelmed after losing his livelihood, his health, and his family. Worse still, although Job had been a daily worshiper of God, he felt that the Lord was ignoring his pleas for help. God seemed absent from the landscape of his life. Job claimed he could not see God whether he looked to the north, south, east, or west (Job 23:2–9)
