We Gotta Do It!

Good morning my beautiful friends! Before I start my reading today I have a little story of what happened yesterday. Okay, it has to do with my Paratransit then picking me up from Starbucks. As soon as I said that, I'm thinking you guys are thinking, "Oh, did Sam become a drama queen again and was crying?" The answer to that is, sadly to say, "yes." My ride was 12:20 and I almost did not get home until 2:30. Please don't misunderstand, if I'm in the vehicle on time or even just a little bit later, I understand we may have to pick people up or drop people off. That's not the problem. It's when these drivers are a no-show for me. And, then I do all that is in my power to try to speak with someone in dispatch and make sure I am not considered a no-show.

I am sorry it's just that I have had too many instances where these drivers they leave me without following directions to make contact. I am so blessed, so yesterday I was sitting down in my wheelchair wondering where my driver was and crying while I was on the phone with dispatch. Jenna, one of the Starbucks workers saw that I was crying. I explain to her my situation and asked if she can go outside and see if my driver was there.

Apparently, he was there when dispatch was telling me that my driver won't be there for another 10 minutes. Whatever. That, totally, was not the driver's fault. It usually never is the driver's fault. Anyway, once this mess was settled and I was safely in the van, I offered my card to Lavalle and he graciously accepted. Hi Lavalle. I hope I spelled your name right LOL. Praying that you become encouraged with my writings. Remember, start your morning is with encouragement!

Okay, I gave the title of my writing this morning "We Gotta Do It."  What am I talking about? Let me tell you. Just this past presidential election who did you vote for? Hold on wait a minute. I don't care, so don't tell me you should not know who I voted for.

If you are a US citizen, then we need to thank God that we have the privilege, even have the right, to vote. The election is over. The candidates for president were chosen. So now what? Does that mean it's time Trump haters to begin and continue on with their ridiculous protest more than likely not even resulting in their favor? Trump haters, stop the hating.

I'll say it again, he is now our president of the United States. There really are some of us out there who do not agree with the final results of the presidential election. Maybe we should keep it to ourselves how we really feel about that. Would you be voicing your opinion if you knew president Donald Trump saw what you were doing? I'm thinking the answer is probably no. Remember God wants us to love one another and He gives us the strength if we ask him.

Think about it, please. If you are a Believer of God then you know that God is in charge of providing our Authority. And you know God is not going to mess up. You know God knows what we need. So, maybe we should just relax and keep praying and trust and have the faith in our president. Who knows?  He might surprise you. My husband, despite any of our feelings, encouraged me the other day. He was telling me that so far Donald Trump doing what he said he would do. That's a plus.  I'm sure we don't want a president that would lie or go back on his words.

If we choose or have chosen to follow God, then you know what you have to do.

Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.

Romans 13:1 ESV

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Romans 13:2 ESV

Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
