Wow, how weird! I just dozed of for like 14 minutes. Ok, let me do this!
So, yeah as I was saying it does say a number of times that God wants us to pray for our enemies. God wants us to do a lot of nice things regarding our enemies. Forgiving them is one example.
I don't know about you guys, but when somebody hurts me physically or mentally, forgiving this person is close to being out of the question. Well, that would be changed probably after much prayer. However, it's not an immediate feeling to want to extend grace or give forgiveness to someone who hurt you. I think God understands that. But, he still wants us to remember to obey his command to forgive our enemies and to extend grace. I think only the word of God will be needed in order to change hearts.
Encouraging thought of the day!
Has anyone ever told you you would be good at doing something? Well, now are you doing it???
Romans 12:14 ESV
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
Romans 12:20 ESV
To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.”
