Of course, I gave cards to both Kevin and Lindsay. I guess that was why I had my big water spillage. Kevin told me that he really needed it. Friends, he is right. Everybody needs to feel encouraged!
Then I needed my medicine case. Thank you John, one of the Starbucks workers that came by me and wanted to make sure I was okay. Even after John put the medicine in my hands and then went back to work, of course I dropped one pill, a medicine.
Then, this lady who was leaning on the wall across from me named Jordan picked up the medicine for me. Of course I gave her a card. :) So, hi to Kevin, Lindsey, and Jordan. It was so nice meeting you guys and I pray you guys are encouraged by my writings.
Oh, and I am so blessed and thankful to have had an awesome flight attendant on my way to California today. It was awesome because I met some pretty cool people! Of course, I gave them all my cards for their encouragement! Hi to Jenette and Jennifer, and Hi to Keith! Jenette, I am so excited to try the macaroni and cheese dishes with the cool stuff! Anyway, I pray that you guys are encouraged by my writings. Start your days with encouragement before getting on the airplane or whatever. Okay, time for my writing now!
You probably don't think you worship idols. I mean you're not going to go on your knees and worship and literally bow down to them. So, you must not be an idol worshiper then. Everything is all good in the hood. Right? Well, let me give you some of my thoughts.
Let me paint a picture for you. It's a normal Sunday morning and ever since you can remember, you knew it was the Lord's day. You will rejoice and be glad in it.
Let me continue to paint the picture. Okay, it's some Sunday in the month of August. Some of you may know that September is the month when the football season begins. Here Comes opening kickoff!
Now, my friend, you might be in a dilemma. Do you stay home and watch football or do you go to church like you usually do? Please don't misunderstand. I'm definitely not saying it is a sin to not go to church. What I am saying is that if you feel in your heart God is telling you not to stay home and watch football but go to church because God will have your pastor giving a sermon you really need to hear right now. Then, maybe you should listen to your heart.
You know, let me share a thought. I'm not certain but it's just my opinion. If one decides to stay home and watch football rather than go to church I'm thinking something. I'm thinking that the Lord gets pretty jealous, hurt, disappointed and did I say jealous? Friends, I think we need to prioritize things maybe better than we already do. God should be your number one priority. God should be my number one priority.
Is He?

Encouraging Thought of The Day:
Next time you ride an airplane, why not get to know your flight attendant or the person sitting next to you? They may become new friends!
“You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Jonah 2:8 ESV
Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love.
Colossians 3:5 ESV
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
