Promises Kept

I read a story one time about a guy who traveled across the country. When he got home and after he got his luggage at the airport he hailed for a cab. A few minutes later after cruising in the cab, he started feeling comfortable. He tapped the cab driver on the shoulder because he had a question. The cab driver seemed so shocked, freaked out and crossed over four lanes.  When the passenger eventually caught his breath, he said,  "What was that all about?"  The cabbie said, "Sir, I am sorry. I have been driving a hearse for 40 years. This is my first day as a cabbie."

Folks when people die, do we expect them to live again? I don't think so. Actually, death is not a subject people like to talk about. I don't even think that people like to use the word death. We like to sugar coat it and say departed or hit the hay or something or another. Think about it. Right?

Anyway, God told us that his son would come to Earth, and that happened. God told us that his son would suffer, be crucified die and be buried. Friends, that also happened. God told us that his son would rise again. That did happen! Jesus is Alive! God told us that Jesus will come back again to judge the living and the dead. That will happen.

We need to be assured, remember, and realize that Jesus always keeps his promises.  Is there a promise you are thinking he is not keeping? Don't feel discouraged if the promise is not happening right away.  Just remember that Jesus always keeps his promises!
