Wow, the Lord really helped me again as usual. This is what happened. I got my coffee which is cool but they were so fast, I wasn't able to ask for my straw. Then, my garbage, remember I have a bag I put all my garbage in? It fell on the chair across from me. Then I was looking around for who I should ask for help. Suddenly Susie walks in! The knock ( Holy Spirit) in my head goes on over drive! lol Susie helped me get a straw and picked up my garbage bag. Then, of course, I gave her the card. She was so nice. Girl, I pray that you will be encouraged by my writings everyday. See you again in Starbucks! And thank you for telling me to enjoy my drink. It actually is very yummy!
One day, my husband asked me if I ever literally pulled my tooth out myself. My answer was no. I do remember when I was really young and my dentist at the time pulled my tooth off with his bare hands.
Joe, on the other hand said that if it was loose he just literally purposely pulled the tooth out. Now, do I think that was right of him to do? Let me just say I don't think I would have done it because I would have been too scared to do it wrong. Meaning, what if I pull it incorrectly and damaged my gums or even my tooth?!
I'm thinking that's kind of how we are with God. We just get so impatient. Instead of waiting for God to work on things himself, we end up doing it ourselves. Do you know what I mean? I know, for me, there definitely have been times I have tried to force the issue so it would fall in my favor.
Similar to Joe and him pulling his teeth out and not waiting to go to the dentist, there may be times, anyone of us become so impatient that we stop waiting on the Lord and just do things our own way. Take it from me, sometimes in the end it just ends up bad. So, say yes to always waiting on the Lord. In time, he will answer you and you will feel it in your heart.
Encouraging thought of the day:
Be patient and wait on God to answer. In time He will! Just wait!
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Romans 8:25 ESV
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Philippians 4:6 ESV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
