I don't think so that many, many, many years ago, when that happened, it was legal to get paid "under the table." It probably is the same way now, but I have no idea. If it is still illegal, that doesn't mean that there aren't people out there getting paid under the table if they're not suppose to.
And, I do remember the name of the restaurant but not my boss. I will keep that as a secret in order not to seem like I'm bad-mouthing literally or specifically....
I actually only ended up there I think less than a month. Well, my parents actually called the restaurant and I was forced to quit this job really from both authorities.
Things happen for a reason. God allows things to happen for his reasons. Do you guys believe that? I hope so. I believe that. Those of you who personally know me, I hope find me easy to talk to. Do you find that I'm personable? Do I have good communication skills? Maybe you notice my smile?
I would display all of those characteristics when I was a waitress. See what I'm getting at? The Lord Was preparing me even at such a young age to begin working on the craft that he created me for. From that time and down my future years the Lord was getting me ready for other future communicable jobs. He was preparing me for the future jobs I went through down the road like marketing, reception, recruiting, sales, assistant producer at WBBM AM news radio, modeling, acting, etc. Didn't I tell you before I was like a "Jill" of all trades when it came to careers that you can get with a BA in communication.
Now, I feel like the Lord has really made me retire from the typical day job. Now, I really don't know what the Lord has planned for the rest of my life. However, all I know is I'm going to keep using the gifts he has given me and all the things he's created me for.
Yesterday, I ended up in communication with a friend who actually is an Emmy-nominated producer I've been blessed to have the chance to communicate with. He totally encourages me! In the past he told me I was truly an actress! God blessed me with this skill that cannot be taught! I definitely would not oppose to getting some pointers, from the emmy-nominated producer Jon!
He closed the conversation by saying this, " Don't ever give up because you have a story to tell!" I will continue to keep following the Lord and waiting for him to reveal his will for my life. A story to tell? Indeed I do.
Encouraging thought of the day:
Don't give up! No matter what anyone says to bring your spirits down.
Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
