Spiritual Wardrobe

Being in style? The word Fashionista? Usually, when I go out I keep myself in style. I don't like to go out looking ugly, usually. Sometimes I really don't care. However, if it's really bad, Joe will not let me go out without fixing myself up. Sometimes I don't want to but, well, whatever.

Lately I was complimented for my attire. Usually my hat. Anyway, that led to talking a little bit about the subject and then that led me to give that person a card. :-)

Similar to having a nice, eye popping attention-grabbing physical wardrobe we should also be mindful of showing our spiritual wardrobe. There have been a number of times at Starbucks where people stopped and talked to me and complimented me about the fedora hat I wear sometimes. Perfect opportunity for guess what? It was a perfect opportunity to give them my card. And, sometimes some really nice ladies also complimented me and my clothing from head to toe.

See what I mean? You get it? Our physical fashionista-ish clothing should be an attention-getter so people will see our spiritual selves which should be filled with the Holy Spirit: Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. How is your spiritual wardrobe?

Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
