I do remember making pancakes one morning, and when it was time to flip over the pancakes, I couldn't slip it over so I used my finger and oops I accidentally grazed the hot pan. So, that wasn't very good and my fingers started to get red so I had to call for help from my husband. I kind of felt bad because I think he was playing video games or something on his computer. But, it was sort of an emergency. The last thing I wanted was for it to develop to a second degree burn or something.
Thankfully, he comes from a family of all nurses, so he knew what to do. Actually, he said when he was a kid he used to get many injuries a lot because he fell a lot. That, totally surprised me because now Joe is totally the opposite and I never saw him get injured really bad. I'm thinking when he was little, God was preparing him to be able to take care of me when I get hurt in his future.
Anyways back to my writing, a the time of my injury he put Neosporin, bandaged me up, and finished cooking my pancakes. What a guy! You know what that reminded me of? That reminded me of the Apostle Paul and his dealing with sin. See in the Bible, he did admit to not knowing why he did what he did or not wanting to do what he did. (Romans 7:15)
Reading that scripture determines right and wrong (V7) it really is a struggle for us to have to correctly choose our spirit over the flesh. Believers struggle against sin. Once you do turn your life over to Christ, you are given the spirit. When we fellow Believers choose to confess our sins like Paul did, we are offered hope for victory. ( V24-25) so, that should be encouraging right?
Are you a fellow believer?Confess your sins to God and he will give you the promise of a hope and Victory!
Encouraging thought of the day:
Are you a fellow believer? Why don't you confess your sins to God and he will give you the promise of victory!
