I've said before I don't drive anymore, but my husband does, thank God. And, when we go places with other people, I usually ask Joe if he could just drive because I would rather we drive and not end up stuck in a situation. I don't mind if we have to offer other people rides because of an emergency but I would just rather we drive our own car. That way, we wouldn't be at risk of getting stuck somewhere. You guys know what I mean, right?
So that's what I call kind of one of my safe places. When I spend that time with Christ praying, reading his word, or writing my blog, I'm usually in one of my safe places. Everyone probably has their own definition of where their safe place is with God.
Specifically for me, my safe place changes from one place to the other. I can say my safe place is on my bed in my room when I wake up in the morning, and depending on what I do for the day, it can be at Starbucks or on my couch at home.
Where do you think you're safe place is? I'm not talking about going to a place where you feel protected by outsiders like maybe the hospital or police station, no. I'm talking about where do you think you're safe place is where you are in the presence of God where you will indeed be safe.
Encouraging thought of the day:
God is a safe place in life storms (Daily Bread)
