Here is my Deep Thought. Perhaps you guys are like me or her or him, they or them? We think sometimes a little too highly of ourselves. I am thinking we think we know stuff like God knows stuff. As if we were remotely at the same level of God! I don't think so.
No, no and no, my beautiful ones! Not even! We cannot predict if someone will be the mother of a saint. We can't predict if someone will be the father of a Unabomber. We can't see that so and so will be a millionaire very soon and we don't know when someone will die. I can go on and on. Friends, see where I'm going with this?
Pause break. Shout out to Victor. He is my Meals on Wheels guy! Every week he comes and brings prepared meals. It's a nice perk that I'm eligible for since I'm disabled. Not to say I don't like to cook anymore. No, I love to cook still. Just need a little extra help now. Anyway, Victor, I pray you will be encouraged by the writings. Victor, talk to you next year!
OK, back to the writing! So, all those things I talked about in the previous paragraphs are pretty doggone silly. Knowing someone's future does not happen, will not happen, and is definitely not of God! Remember we humans are not Omniscient, Omnipresent, or Omnipotent! We don't know all things. We can't be in more than one place at the same time. We do not have unlimited power!
Encouraging thought of the day:
You are reading this. That means you are alive. Now, ask yourself what are you doing in your life that is for God's glory?
