No, please don't misunderstand. I'm not literally in prison. You guys are probably not literally in prison or maybe you are but then how would you be reading this? But anyway, sometimes, it feels like we really are, right?
Alright, circumstances may not be ideal for an actual stay in prison. But, maybe you are in a bad relationship. That kind of feels like you're in prison. Are you going through a health problem, again prison feeling? Feeling like a prisoner in your job?
Yet if you stay faithful to God, he says he will be with you. You can experience his presence with you, his favor in the sight of others, and His blessing in your life! They may have taken away life, but they can't take away your freedom! Isn't that a line from the movie Braveheart? LOL. That's Joe's favorite movie! So, I'm picturing him shouting that with a Scottish accent! :)
Anyway, I guess the question is do you feel like you're in prison? If so, you don't need to feel like that! Remember, God is with you!
I guess the story that comes to mind is the story of Joseph and Potiphar's wife. Remember when I shared a little bit about the story of Joseph and the wife of Potiphar? Well, because of the lie Potiphar's wife told him about Joseph sexually assaulting her, Joseph was thrown in prison. But, God had a plan and was with Joseph. As a result of Joseph being in prison a lot of good things ended up happening. It's too much good stuff! If you're interested then you should definitely read the whole story about Joseph!
