I totally see everything clearly now. My friends, I know I have written before about God and his perfect timing. Right? Well, that is just it. He has his own timing when he wants his people to take part in doing whatever he will have us doing in his will for our lives.
Before we get to doing His will for us, I believe he's going to prepare us first. Like with me, I'm thinking of the fact he put me through school first. I'm a writer now. I needed to learn the proper grammar formation, how to use punctuation marks, paragraph formatting, etc.
My primary acting jobs were at my church with a certain drama director who had actually left the church for another. I remember after my first monologue, someone told me "Wow you are an actress!" Shortly after the Lord led me to other opportunities where I was able to do a little training to enhance my craft. I was told by many that I was a natural. I'm going to steal a line from a movie I just did. It was "I can teach skills but I can't teach talent." The talent that is given to us is from God! Talent cannot be taught.
Actually, even when I was a little kid my parents told me I was always so bubbly, very, very talkative, like I would never shut up! I would love to hog the camera, flashing pretty smiles and poses left and right. I've also done some modeling in my early 20's.
Joseph from the Bible was also being prepared for God's will for him. First, he was hated by his brothers so very much, suffering persecution and hatred. He went through disappointment. Remember he interpreted the dream of the cupbearer and then asked if the cupbearer can talk to pharaoh and maybe let him out of prison. When the cupbearer was let go of prison he forgot about what Joseph asked and never talked to Pharaoh.
By feeding fellow prisoners in jail, God prepared Joseph to feed the nations from a palace. Boy, I should feel pretty blessed and I'm so glad God did not have me go through all the bad stuff like he did with Joseph. Wow, just from this story of Joseph, we can see all the pain and hurt he went through. Boy, am I glad God didn't have me go through the bad stuff like what Joseph went through. I'm not saying it was always easy with sunshine and butterflies so to speak. Heavens no! I had a number of difficulties along with a number of blessings.
Folks, we really need to understand that whatever we've gone through in the past has happened....and whatever we are going through now is happening because, just like Joseph, God is preparing us for something in the future.

Encouraging thought of the day:
Whatever you are doing now, it's all worth it!
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
