I'm assuming there are those of you who once had a good relationship with a significant other, maybe a friend, maybe even a family member. Any loved one. Yeah, then it was a good, nice, civil relationship. Now, not so good. Reason being? I have no idea. It could be because of anything. The point is, the relationship that was so good before is pretty much broken now.
I know it's sad huh? Did you guys become like me and were just reminiscing in your mind and it just started to wander off thinking about the good times you used to have with those loved ones? I can go on and share some thoughts about lost loved ones but that really isn't necessary. Let's keep those thoughts stored away in our minds.
You know I came across this. Check it out. If Adam and Eve never ate the forbidden fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, then God's original plan would not have been tampered with. Remember he had a plan of a world of paradise, happiness, no shootings, sickness or death and all that wonderful stuff.
Man, wouldn't that have been nice? Well, because of the first two humans and their horrible mess up, we humans that came after them get to suffer the consequences. That's why we do have shootings, sickness, death, unhappiness, and definitely not Paradise.
But wait, actually, because of someone we are entitled to have back that good stuff after death if we do something. And, that is to believe in Jesus Christ. He is God who left his Heavenly place and became a human and because he loves us so much he took all of our sins, pain, and burdens with him when he died for us on that cross!
I guess from my One Year Bible reading I think of the broken relationship between Joseph and his brothers. We read from the Bible in the Book of Genesis from the story of Joseph, how bad these brothers treated him. They were so jealous of their brother. They did unthinkable things to him. Remember they sold him?
If you would keep reading the story you see that even Joseph ended up forgiving them for what they did. It was fine and dandy between them, right? Well, all broken relationships don't necessarily end up like Joseph and his brothers' happy ending.
If you are in a broken relationship with someone here on Earth , and you and the other party know Jesus, then cool. If you haven't cleared up your irreconcilable differences here on Earth, then that kind of sucks for you guys. It is possible. Everybody is different.
However, if you are assured of your salvation and pretty much know you're going to see each other in heaven after you die, then here's the good news. That once broken relationship you guys had will not be broken in heaven. When you see each other, all will be good between you guys who once were in a bad relationship.
Now, if one does know Jesus and the other one doesn't. Then all I know is the one that knows Jesus will be the one going to heaven. They really won't see each other again. If both of them don't know Jesus, then I guess they would not be able to mend their irreconcilable difference. You see, our God is not about broken relationships. The word broken is not in his vocabulary. Nope, I highly doubt that it is. Deep thought out!
