What Will You Leave Behind?

Just yesterday, I was messaging back and forth with an old friend. I commented on Facebook on how beautiful her daughter looked and how beautiful her dress was! She looked all dolled up. Ready for prom. I mentioned that I remembered when she was in college pregnant with her daughter! That conversation ended with we are getting old!

At that time I was at a community college. Then I transferred over to NIU a year later. Loved it there, but for other reasons moved to UIC after one semester and finally graduating 3 years later from UIC.  It was time to fully focus on getting my BA college diploma/degree
in Communication!

One of the " Comms" classes I needed to take came to mind when I was thinking back to college. It's funny because I can't remember the name of the class or of the professor. I do kind of remember his face. But what I really remember was one of the assignments that was given out to us students.

We had to write an Obituary aboutt ourselves. We had to clear our minds of all other thoughts that would be of clutter to our minds and only think kind of like we were having an outer body experience. We had to make note of what we left behind. What Legacy would we leave behind? Sounds interesting right?

Well, I don't know about you guys but I want to leave a good Legacy after I leave this world. Perhaps, my legacy will make a positive difference in someone's life.

Paul says in 2 Timothy 4:7  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. l find that pretty encouraging to read! I mean it doesn't say he ran the race halfway but then got tired so had to stop. No, it says Paul finished the race! We are all running a race. And, it is not enough to start well. We have to finish well too!

What Legacy do you think you'll leave behind?
