The Helmet

I'm going to say a sentence. You may not believe it. You may not be going through it now. However there's no doubt in my mind that there was some point in your life when it did happen to you. And that is this. You have had bad thoughts. I have no idea how to elaborate on that. However, each and every one of us knows exactly what I'm talking about. Because you know what? It differs with everybody.

Where do you think these bad thoughts are coming from? Definitely not from God. So, the only answer is they're coming from evil. And you know what? It starts in our mind. But, are you a child of God? Do you remember what the Lord has given his children to fight off those bad thoughts? 

Fellow believers, we need to remember that we are armed with the full armor of God. That is the belt of Truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, THE HELMET OF MY SALVATION, sword of the spirit, and gospel of peace.

 I am no scholar or anything. I was introduced to this from a Pastor who is no longer here in the state. It is just in my younger years this pastor wanted me to be fully aware that I was covered with the armor of God. I needed to Proclaim this truth so that evil would stop attacks. There is no guarantee, however I do believe that the evil one does not like to hear anything good about God. I think Christian music, your pastor's sermon, or even the worship team or the congregation singing is the total opposite of music to his ears!

Fellow believers, we are covered by the full armor of God! We need to take that helmet of my salvation and wear it with the intention of fighting evil thoughts that try to enter our minds. 

Oh, believe me I know just like the next person it is beyond difficult. It's so hard to notq act on those bad thoughts once they enter your mind. Once that thought in your mind grows it will give birth to sin. And, unfortunately the damage will probably happen. Then it will be too late, because the damage will be done.

Then, it's time to rebuke evil in Jesus' name! Shout out loud and maybe even get angry and boldly tell all the evil to flee from you in Jesus name. And, I guess pray that the Lord will restore the damage that has been made. Ask the Lord to help tow restore broken relationships. Friends, pray for forgiveness. Perhaps pray for strength for all to even forgive.

No temptation has seized you except what is commo to man and God is faithful he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear but when you are tempted he will provide a way out for you to stand up under it
