- I can see it now, this is going to be a fun writing this morning. When I first saw that that was the topic for the day, I couldn't help but roll my eyes a little. Sad but true.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks difficulty when they think of the word. There's no other way around it. We just have to do it. As my former pastor always used to say, " God said it, I believe it that settles it!"
Let's take myself, a wife. I know in the past I've shared my opinion and my thoughts of submission of the wife to her husband. Wives just have to be submissive to their husband. I'm not going to say I like it or do it all the time or its not difficult. What I'm just going to say is that that's something I believe we, wives need to do for our husband. I believe it because God said it in his word!
Fellow wives, believe me please as a wife I have seen power when I chose to submit to my husband! Makes me think why don't I be more submissive? Being submissive to your husband makes them feel respected. Making them feel respected makes them make you feel loved! Just try it out. Try to be submissive to your husband for a little bit, and see the power Jesus will put in your husband's heart. Who knows you may get a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant
Or something else you have been bugging your husband for. Just watch, and do me a favor and send me a message when you do see that something come to life. I would love to get encouraged with your example!
Another way to show submission is by way of submitting to the authority of our government.Whether one does or does not like the person who is our Authority. I'm thinking maybe like our president. There, that is where we need to show submission. We need to submit to Authority because that is what the Lord wants us to do. Now, if our Authority is making us do something that is going against the will of God, then we must first follow our top priority which is God. And, I know there are countries today with authority that kills people if they do not follow their ungodly teachings and choose to stand up for God. They suffer whatever consequences will come their way if they do choose God.
Pause break. I just thought of something. I just thought of the young lady Melissa Jenkins who died in the Columbine school shooting back in 1999. She was a student that one of the boy killers took and asked her this." Do you believe in God?" She responded," You know I do!" Then, the boy said, " Then go be with Him!" And, shot and killed her.
I think that story came to mind because of this. Well, it's not like it was a story of following a supreme authority. However, because the boy really had Melissa Jenkins' life in his hands, I think the boy was a little bit more Superior than Melissa. And, what she chose to do is so encouraging to me. And it should be to you guys as well.
Back to the writing. So yeah, doesn't that make you a little bit happy that our sup wertreme authority is not an ungodly and evil man that could have you killed if we believe in God? See what I mean when I say there is power in submission. The truth is if you choose to submit or not opsubmit, there may be times that can affect whether you live or die.
We have to choose to submit. Let's choose correctly. Okay?
