Happy Sunday evening! And just had time to do some editing. Didn't think I would post the blog till tomorrow, but I had time to do some editing while I was watching some Bears football! I think that was a really good idea to do an audio version. I'll probably do it again and more, once I figure out how to put it in my blog without having to have you guys download it. Till then...... Now this is some powerful stuff. Has anyone of you ever felt guilty about something? Wait a minute of course you guys have. Otherwise, that would make you perfect. And you all know my thoughts of perfection! Doesn't happen. I think I say that a lot. Don't I? :-)
My Google Assistant defines the word guilt like this "Feelings of deserving blame." I think that pretty much sums it up really well. I just want to add on to it that it's a pretty yucky feeling, yeah deserving blame.
There is most certainly power in " feeliings of Guilt." When a man or woman feels guilty one cannot think straight. One may do something physically they will sadly regret doing the next second. It sucks. You have been there. I have been there. We all have been there. And, to reiterate, feeling guilty is not a good feeling to have.
Don't ask me why. But, lately my husband and I have been watching Jerry Springer. Exactly what I thought? I didn't know it still came on. In Chicago everyday from 3 to 4 then another episode from 4 to 5 on the U station. Just a little promo for the show lol.I'm also thinking they can be replays. I don't know
Now, that is an avenue that totally expresses to people the word "guilt." So, the first segment they show men and women telling the viewers what exactly was the wrong that they did. Then the next segment is them confessing to the people they affected of the wrong that they did. The other people had no idea. Why they would choose to negartively exptoit themselves? Why people would bring the other people on the show as well to let them know of the wrong they did? I have no idea. Why would people agree to go on a show so they can publicly find out the wrong that people did to them? Again, I have no idea. But, that is what makes good television I guess. Just goes to show that some people will do anything to get those 5 minutes of fame.
We can see what the outcome behind the guilt of these people. A lot of the scenarios have a lot to do with some sort of infidelity with married couples or not married but seriously involved couples.
I'm sure everybody knows a show like Jerry Springer. There is a lot of yelling, some punches here and there, and pulling of hair from the innocent / not-so-innocent guests of the show.
I think that example is a good way for me to incorporate guilt in this writing for today. Folks, guilt. Guilt is powerful. There Is Power in the feeling of guilt. If you feel guilty, I think the only way to fix that is to confess the bad that you did. I think once we get that off our chest, that will make us feel a lot better. Of course, we still have to suffer the consequences of the "bad" we did. There would be no way to get around that. If we confess our sins to Jesus he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1.9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
