Power Series Part 20: Power of Worship (SBS Syndrome)

Many years ago I was diagnosed with SBS. That is shy bladder syndrome. Maybe one of you guys has it but have not been formally diagnosed. What it is, is probably what you guys are thinking. It's basically you cannot comfortably release your bodily waste. Also known as, you can't use the bathroom when noise is around you.

Yes, I still use public restrooms. And yes, it can get rather difficult. What's funny is I was telling my new caregiver Jenai, so she would know how to handle me when bringing me to the bathroom. To my amazement, this girl was so familiar with what I was talking about. It made me think do other people know about this problem with people? Do other people have this problem too? Probably. They just don't want to say anything about it. So my caregiver totally understood.

My husband is all good and doesn't have this problem. However, he did mention this morning that when he uses the public restroom, their probably are some people who also share in SBS. So that's that.

I would definitely say that since the Christmas season is upon us, this is the perfect time to do this writing! People who don't openly worship regularly may find time to do some worshipping heavily since the Christmas season is here. Would you guys consider yourself worshippers?
You guys may or may not be worshippers. I consider myself a worshipper. Question is who or what are we worshipping?

You all know the answer to that question for me is I worship Jesus Christ. I think even if people won't say that they worship JC, I think there is something that they worship. Maybe someone? Maybe some thing? Maybe some place ?Maybe it's a Feeling? You guys can fill in the blank. It could be anything. All I know is that choosing to utilize your feelings of love, your time, you're giving of honor to is worshipping it.

The Bible says somewhere,
Something like "when you pray, close the door...I think there is another way to interpret that. I don't think it's really saying that God wants us to physically close the door every time we pray and not let anyone hear you praying.

I think he's saying close the door of your heart to the noise that is disrupting your worship time with God. I have no idea if there's truth to that, because that is just my opinion. I think that makes sense right?

Yeah, God wants your full undivided attention. Because that is what he is giving to us. So, if that means to physically close the door so you yourself won't be distracted. Then go ahead. But, definitely close the door of your heart to the noise that is hindering your time of prayer and worship.

Thank you God! I feel so blessed that my new caregiver knows exactly I mean when I have shy bladder syndrome. When I first told her, she did not seem shocked at all. She said she knows tons of people who can't "go:)" unless it's completely quiet.

Matthew 6:6 NIV

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
