I recently read a very interesting story. It was kind of the story that was too hard to believe. Like a story that is too good to be true. A "yeah right" type of story. The ending of the story would definitely be "praise God!"
My bad, sorry let me stop teasing. This is a story about a gentleman named Earl. Earl had a lot of money and did not need to work. Earl was taking all kinds of drugs, including heroin. He ended up in the hospital at the age of 30.
Someone came and visited Earl in the hospital and gave him a new testament. Earl was happy because the paper was so thin and would be perfect for rolling joints. He ended up rolling his way through Matthew, Mark, and Luke. When he got to the Book of John , he started to read it. That was when his heart came into contact with Jesus Christ.
This Psychologist for Earl's case was a very beautiful woman. Earl had far too much money. He did not need to work. He took all kinds of drugs, including heroin. At the age of thirty he ended up in hospital.
Someone came to visit him in hospital and gave him a New Testament. He was thrilled. The paper was very thin and was ideal for rolling joints. He rolled his way through Matthew, Mark and Luke. When he came to John’s Gospel, he started reading. As a result of reading the words of John’s Gospel, he encountered Jesus. He was filled with joy.
The psychologist in charge of his case was a very beautiful young and very successful woman, who had been a model. She saw that Earl just had so much joy! One day she said to Earl, "Look, I have it all – success, beauty and endless qualifications – yet I am not fulfilled. Your life is a mess yet you seem to have something – a peace and a joy. What is it?" That was when Earl led the woman to Jesus Christ. Earl and the woman later married. What a happy ending!
And the, all this was possible just because Earl decided to roll up his drugs with pages of the Bible! I don't know about you guys, but to me that really goes to show that there is some kind of power in the words of Jesus Christ in the Bible! Have you guys read the Bible and welcome to Jesus into your life? If not, are you interested in checking out am I able to see what I'm talking about?
