Sometimes, my husband would accidentally hear me when I would pray for people. Because I have a list of names of people I usually pray for like Apple or Earl or Violet or some other name. He would ask me who are those people. I would say I don't know. I just included them in my list of prayers. So and so are the names I feel the Lord has put in my heart to pray for.
I don't have to know them personally. There are times I just surprise myself because I get the weirdest names in my mind that I need to pray for. Or, I start praying for Cubs players or actors and actresses. Then, I'll see them in the news a few hours later. It's kind of freaky but, not because I know it's from God! I can give you examples that would freak you guys out. However, I can't think of any right now.
In the Bible, it says when Paul was writing to the Christians in Ephesus he said to pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests..... with this in mind always keep praying for the Lord's people... "
1 Timothy 2:1
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,
Ephesians 6:18
praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
