Gorgeous to God

Play for the Audio Version

I'm talking to us women out there! Well, maybe the gentleman as well. But I think more women. I don't think I'm alone in sharing this thought. I think there have been times somewhere sometime in my life when I just did not feel pretty. You women know what I'm talking about right?

What comes to mind is being fresh and brand new when starting a relationship with someone. Before I was a married woman, I used to date and be the girlfriend of my husband. And, before that, I used to date other boys.

When each boyfriend would take the time to come see me. Of course, I wanted to look my best. I wanted did dress cute, look cute, act cute, and definitely wanted to have a cute, not a stinky aroma!

Isn't that what we see on TV? Isn't that what we flipped through when we look at magazines? Yep, I guess it really is true what they say. Sex really does sell! Anyway, forgive me I'm kind of deep thinking away from the actual subject of my writing this morning.

The other day, I did it again! I really did not want to be in public without putting my makeup on! At least some blush and lip gloss. Joe was a sweetheart and said I look beautiful with or without makeup. Just a side note he was probably just in a hurry to leave the condo. LOL

Seriously though, I guess even if we may not feel like it. We are pretty gorgeous! We are pretty beautiful human beings in the eyes of our Lord and savior!

God looks past the bumps, blemishes, bad acne, and bruises. All he sees when he looks at his creation and is fascinated by his work!

It's quite sad because we people are letting others influence Who We truly Are just by the external. Let me end with some encouraging words from Leslie Koh, one of the authors of the daily bread devotional reading. She says she likes to think that God saves the creation of the humans for last so he could really spend time creating us. As the saying goes, Save The Best For Last! He really needed to take the time to work on us because just like it says in Genesis we were created in the image of God!

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them
