Promise Series Part 13: Promise To Protect

Play for the Audio 1Version

I'm going to share with you guys a story told to me by my awesome caregiver, Glady. Well, first of all she's like me when it comes to camping we don't really like it. I think I'll pass on sleeping in a tent with my back on the ground. Can't we just make s'mores at home and eat them while we're watching a movie? We don't like bugs. We prefer other comfortable stuff we can get in
In the comfort of a hotel or home.

Glady had a story for me, the one time she did go camping. It was kind of the perfect time for her to tell me so I can include it in my promise series!

She mentioned to me that her and her loved ones brought a cooler to the campground. And, an unfriendly visitor came and opened the cooler and nonchalantly
welcomed itself all the food!

Isn't that cray cray? Well maybe not that surprising. They were at a campground,
where unless your
Tent was closed, bugs and other unfriendly
unwelcomed animals came 2 ravage or steal what's in your cooler.

What is coming to mind now? The word protection. Yes, God promises to protect you,
Protect you from the evil one. Yes, I know he does say that in his word. So,
just like my older Pastor has to say on the time. "God sent it, I believe it. that settles it!" I believe when you call on God and ask for protection he will do it. Well he can do it and I'm sure if you let him know you have the faith he says he will do it.Then he will do it.

So, it does say many times in his word that he will protect us from the evil one. Let me start by mentioning that remember children of God, we are armed with the full armor of God!
My deep thought is that some of you are probably thinking protection? Where was God when my sister died? Where was God then? Or, where was God when my 2 kids . both had to be taken away after 4 months of carrying them?

Of course, bad memories are hard pills to swallow. We may pray and pray and pray that God would take away the bad thing but sometimes he has a different plan.

Folks, do we need protection from something? My deep thought is to ask God to protect us. It's not rocket science guys. Just ask and wait for the result. We may be pleasantly surprised. :-)
