He Asked Me If I Was Ready

Shout out to Kelain, a new Starbuks worker! Shout out to Donna! Thanks for getting me a straw! Hi again to William! Thank you for opening my ziploc bag and for accepting another card to give to your friend! I pray you all will be encouraged by the writings and have a wonderful weekend! Let's dive in!

When we got to Starbucks earlier  this morning, Joe  did this. He opened my car door and said this. " Are you ready?" Thinkinge oh, he was asking if I was ready for the cold. I said, " Oh the cold." To my surprise he said, " No, are you ready to be a light? "

Well, that was unexpected. Not to say that it wasn't what I needed to hear. Oh yeah, that was definitely a good reminder. Just not something I expected.

How true is that though? Right? The thing is. Starbucks isn't the only place I need to feel ready. No matter where I go or what I do, I
always need to be ready.? Ready for people to look at me and see something they like. And, it's up to me to be a good representative of Jesus!

How should we children of God represent him? I think well, since everyone is different, the answer to that will be different for everyone. For me, I don't mind speaking to people I dont know. I enjoy utilizing my God given talent of writing amongst other things for Him. ( Hence, I am a Com major and hence my Deep Thoughts From Samantha blog)

My husband is totally opposite me when it comes to communicating with people. He does not like it. I welcome being in front of the camera. Joe prefers behind the scenes.

Nothing wrong with that. We are really all just different. That's just how God made us. Joe is gifted and blessed with other talents. Joe is very smart. He's good with numbers, computers, other gadgets, and basically just putting things back together after I mess them up.

To reiterate we all are different . Definitely nothing wrong with being different. Maybe a better word to say is being unique. :-)

I will say this. I think there are 2 similarities we all should have. The likeability factor. Don't you think we who are the born again Christians should want to be liked by other people? And, in the long run or short run, people we meet who do not know God should end up wanting to know God. Just like people who already know God. You guys agree with my deep thoughts?
