Why Doesn't He?

The 10:00 news... school shootings... close to home news of homicides... disgusting stories of people who like to fall into incest, spontaneous, creative, and oh-so tragic killings. The sad part is I can go on and on. But I wont. Because that would just make you sad. And, I don't want to make us sad. Seriously, who would want that?

I'll tell you who I think really doesn't like that. The Lord doesn't like that. As a matter of fact, he hates that! Want to know what I think Well, to be honest what I think is kind of backed up by some words in the Bible. So, I think more of the credit goes to God. Let me paraphrase a little bit about what he says.

You all may have heard already that God is coming back yes. He's coming back. No, no one knows when he will be back. If you don't know God, lucky for you he ain't back yet. Also lucky for you, non christians, he says he isn't going to be back because he is giving people time to accept him and repent.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent

1 Peter 3:9

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

Revelation 22:12

Hebrews 9:28
