Having a sover eign God means nothing bad can happen to us. Unless.... Pay attention because i did say unless. Ofcourse, there is an unless
Check it out. Bad things happen to people. Being a Born again Christian does not mean you are exempt from bad things happening in your life. Get it?
What comes to mind is the Bible story of Job. Great example of what I was talking about earlier. In the story satan was roaming around the Earth l2ooking for someone he can mess with and devour.
God said has he considered God's servant, Job? He was so faithful. God said satan can do whatever he wanted to his servant. He just could not take his life. And, this is a very interesting story. I suggest you check it out in the Bible the book of Job.
What also comes to mind is the life story of Sam. Yeah that is me. 1st of all let me just say that I am no where near what Job probably felt. If my body was totally messed with? Do I think I would be reacting like this man?
And, to that I say probably not. I mean I see a little bit of similarity. Bad things were happening in Job's life. Having MS is considered a bad thing happening in Sam's life. So yeah I think that's it for the similarity part.
Our reactions to the similarities is what differs. Job's reaction to his difficulties is definitely something that we born again christians should want to emulate.
I am no idea if my story went down like it did with job. Dan Seaton ask God 1st he can I mess with your daughter Sam? I do know is that God did allow me to have MS. Now come on in step to me how I am going to react.
I know in the beginning When I 1st got it I was far from Job's reaactions. How ever come now that I have matured a little bit more in my Christian faith?
And, since many years have gone by? Hey think I'm a lot Closer to how Job's 1st reaction was.
Psalm 115:3
Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.
1 Chronicles 29:11-12
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.
Job 42:2
“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpos me of yours can be thwarted.
